Perkadox CH-50L Product Description
CH-50L Catalyst dibenzoyl Peroxide powder
Perkadox CH-50L, chemically known as dibenzoyl peroxide powder, is a commonly used catalyst. Powdered, 50% free-flowing 50% peroxide formulation containing dicyclohexyl phthalate, dispersed in pure Unsaturated Polyester and acrylic resins. The Accelerator-based cure speed of Perkadox CH50/amine is very fast. The water content of grade l is very low and is suitable for transparent castings. Generally, the maximum water content is 0.5%.
Perkadox CH-50L is used for curing unsaturated polyester and acrylic resins at ambient and elevated temperatures. Perkadox CH50L should be combined with aromatic tertiary amine accelerators for better curing at temperatures up to 80°C. Accelerated products are not required at temperatures above 80°C. Perkadox CH-50L can be clearly dissolved in the Resin system,It is therefore ideal for the production of acrylic cured parts that require a high degree of transparency.

Storage
Due to the relatively unstable nature of organic peroxides a loss of quality can be detected over a period of time. To minimize the loss of quality, AkzoNobel recommends a maximum storage temperature (T.max) for each Organic peroxide product. For Perkadox CH-50L T, max. 25℃
When stored under these recommended storage conditions, Perkadox CH-50L will remain within the AkzoNobel specifications for a period of at least one year after delivery.
Thermal stability:
Organic peroxides are thermally unstable substances, which may undergo self-accelerating decomposition. The lowest temperature at which self-accelerating decomposition of a substance in the original packaging may occur is the Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT) The SADT is determined on the basis of the Heat Accumulation Storage Test
