Color gelcoat resin is selected as a special Unsaturated Resin matrix, adding high-quality imported color paste and imported aging resistance, easy to defoaming, high thixotropic additives, so gelcoat resin has high surface gloss, high surface hardness, high strength and durability.

In order to get satisfactory Glass Fiber reinforced plastic products and appearance, it is necessary to do a good job of mold processing. According to the process flow, whether it is jet process or hand brush process, it is necessary to strictly operate in accordance with the following requirements

1, before use, choose the right type of gelcoat resin.
2. The mold should be prepared thoroughly and the surface of the mold should be treated well before use.
3, before use, fully stir gelcoat resin in the original bucket, but the speed should be appropriate to avoid mixing bubbles.
4. Before the construction, it is recommended that the working temperature of gelcoat resin and mold should be 15℃ -- 30℃, and the ideal mold temperature should be 2℃ -- 3℃ higher than that of gelcoat resin. In this way, curing results in a shinier and fuller gelcoat resin surface.
5, the relative temperature in the workshop should be lower than 80%, such as high humidity, curing temperature should be increased. Also prevent water from accumulating on the surface of the mold.
6. The surface of the mold should be carefully polished and fully waxed, and the new mold should be pretreated. Do not use silicone release wax. With water-soluble release agent must wait for its moisture after evaporation before spraying Foton gelcoat resin.
7, gelcoat resin use, do not add solvent dilution, such as acetone, banana water, etc. If a lower viscosity is needed in use, a small amount of styrene (≤2%) can be added.
8, gelcoat resin using Curing Agent is methyl ethyl ketone Peroxide, the amount is generally 1-2%, if the Curing agent amount is too high or too low, it will affect its curing degree, which will make the water resistance and weather resistance of gelcoat resin reduced.
9, such as their own color paste, to ensure the uniformity and stability of the color. As recommended, accurate weighing, mixing with low shear equipment, color gelcoat resin can also be used.
10, when spraying, in order to achieve the appropriate thickness, should be sprayed 2-3 times, so as to obtain good defoaming effect.
11, spray Foton color gelcoat resin, to choose the right nozzle, spray pressure and spray distance (50-80cm) and the vertical direction, the spray gun should be uniform translation, should first move the nozzle to the mold, and then from the edge of the mold to the outside stop, colleagues to ensure that the air source is dry and clean.
12. In order to obtain a smooth gelcoat resin layer, the spray thickness is 0.4-0.6mm (equivalent to 500-700 grams of gelcoat resin per square meter). The thickness is too thin, resulting in undercuring: too thick, easy to hang, crack and pinhole. Thickness can be measured using a thickness meter.
13, for the difficult part of the mold, such as deep groove, the spray gun can not maintain a reasonable position, it must be used to brush. In this area, the ginning time is longer and a small amount of ventilation can be used.
14. Ensure that the mold has good ventilation, because styrene monomer will inhibit polymerization, which is due to the large molecular weight of styrene, will sink in the concave part of the mold.
15. Once the gelcoat resin is fully cured (the gelcoat resin layer only sticks to the hand with the finger, but does not adhere to the hand), proceed to the next step.
